Looking at minimum spec I assume that at least the DX11 install will be optional. To play Chronicles of Myrtana on Steam you need to have installed Gothic 2 Gold Edition, then add Mod to your library, download it, and click play in it's page, hopefully without errors. It sounds like that - like other mods on Steam.
After installing Chronicles of Myrtana 2.6.1, prior to start a new game YOU HAVE TO: 1) Go in data/text and delete all the files named "txt.strings". They are 27 in total to delete, hence after their removal you must have 29 remaining files in the "text" folder.

(gothic 1 is a bit more choppy, but its still cool, gothic 2 is similiar to Chronicles of Myrtana, [because it is based on the same engine]) The only disadvantage of this game that There isnt a magic guild you could join. (but magic build is still possible,) [Some mechanics from Chronicles arent in the other games, like making arrows, cooking etc]
